For Daily Printing, usually doing just text and graphics, you can use just about any printer on the market. If your printing is primarily text, and you just want a simple printer, no frills. Then a Lexmark would be a good choice. If you would like to occasionally do a photo, then a Canon or an HP Deskjet would be a good choice as well.

   Most ink  jet printers, need to be used on a regular basis, (weekly) otherwise the print heads tend to dry out, and become plugged. HP and Canon are the least likely to dry out quickly, Lexmark cartridges do well with occasional use but tend to gel up if not used weekly. Epson and Brother need to be used almost on a daily basis to keep them operating correctly in our high desert environment.
