If your photo printing needs are light, and quality isn’t the highest concern, then you may want to use a light duty printer, Lexmark printers are ideal in this role, as they give a presentable photo, without all the bells and whistles that a lot of other “photo” printers tout.

             Note: many Lexmark printers now have individual cartridges for each color, these printers must be used heavily to keep the printhead from plugging up, The head may or not be a replaceable unit, and it can be expensive to replace the head.

             Most printers on the market will print photos just fine regardless of if they are specified as Photo printers.  Be sure to check out the usage steps as well when considering a printer purchase.
